Continuous improvement of working conditions is a major focal point for us. Every member of our staff is given training and is about about all the hazards that are involved in their specific function.
We have eliminated all major hazards or risks to the health and safety of our workers. There are some small hazards that we train and give protective equipment to our works, such as noise cancellation equipment or protective clothing. Every unsafe substance has been remove from our facilities or has the proper storage and treatment. protections and warning signs are placed at the correct place to reinforce the importance of having a safe and healthy work place. All machinery and equipments have protection and have enough room to be handled safely.
We are aware that our activity has consequences to the local community and we assume the responsibility for our actions accordingly. We actively search and identify any problems so we can solve them and change them for the better. The creation of our own internal manual or code of conduct as an essential step towards the improvement of health and safety in the work place.
We are OHSAS 18001 (health and safety management system) certified. We are also implementing the ISO 9001 quality management system.
We have an internal policy which is available in Portuguese because it’s the native language of our workers.
